Pride Month

June is Pride Month! Here at RHAC we are proud of the London LGBT2Q+ community that continually inspires us.

PrEP Clinic Launch

June marks the start of some exciting initiatives including the launch of our PrEP clinic on June 1. PrEP is a medication that one can take daily to prevent HIV that is highly effective when used consistently and correctly. We are happy to announce a partnership with SpecialtyRx to be able to offer this to the community, with a nurse practitioner who will be accepting clients twice a month as of June.

The services will be available Friday June 8, every second Friday from 9am-1pm.

Open Closet

Open Closet is a social support group for LGBT2Q+ (lesbian, gay, bi, trans, 2-spirit, queer) youth between 14 and 18 years of age. The group started in early 2002 and has served more than 1,100 youth since its inception. Open Closet is open to youth from each of the six counties RHAC serves - Perth, Huron, Lambton, Elgin, Middlesex and Oxford.

The group includes discussions related to coming out, queer identities, LGBT2Q+ histories, survival strategies, safer sex and healthy relationships.  We also bring in guest speakers, do arts-based activities, and provide information about HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), harm reduction, and community services/resources according to participants’ individual needs.

Open Closet will continue to do exciting programming in the spirit of Pride Month.

Pride London

July 19 -29 2018

Look out for RHAC at Pride! This year's theme for Pride is Education. The London Pride Festival is a volunteer non-profit organization that works to organize an annual opportunity to bring together the LGBTQ2+ communities and our allies, through events and activities, which promote unity, inclusion and awareness of sexual and gender diversity.
