On September 30, we come together with our community to honour the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis survivors of the residential school system, their families and communities, and the children who never returned home.
With the exception of John Gordon Home and Carepoint, RHAC offices will be closed on Monday, September 30 for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (NDTR) and Orange Shirt Day. On September 27, RHAC staff will be participating in our annual Day of Action and Education through activities focused on dismantling anti-Indigenous racism in healthcare. We encourage community members to wear orange and engage in opportunities to foster learning, healing, and meaningful action.
Local Resources
With support from the London Public Library (LPL), RHAC's Truth & Reconciliation Committee developed this culturally-lensed reading list centering Indigenous authors to address the intersections of colonialism, harm reduction, intergenerational trauma, and healing.
